Kira is a new Sri Lankan home brand. We're starting with the bedroom and building outward — calmly, carefully, and at honest prices.
"Kira" means ray of light. The first warmth of the sun on a Sri Lankan morning. That's the brand promise: pieces that make your home feel a little brighter, a little calmer, a little more your own.
Walk into most furniture stores in Sri Lanka and the choice is binary. Either heavy colonial-style hardwood that takes up your whole bedroom, or imported flat-pack designed for a colder country that doesn't quite work in our heat. There isn't much in between — quietly designed, climate-aware, made for the way young families actually live in Colombo, Kandy, or Galle.
We started Kira to fill that middle.
Mattresses and beds, because that's where the gap is most obvious. Our flagship is the KIRA Sunrise Mattress, a cooling-gel pocket-spring mattress designed specifically for Sri Lankan nights — 28°C bedrooms, 80% humidity, ceiling fans that can only do so much. Our bed frames are designed alongside it: padded genuine calfskin or premium fine‑wale corded fabric, rated to 300kg, in three headboard styles.
Through 2026, we're adding bedding and linen (Q2), living and dining (Q3), and kitchen, bath and décor (Q4). Each category gets the same treatment: designed for our climate, made locally where we can, priced honestly.
No inflated RRPs. No fake "70% off" theatre. The price you see is the price we believe the product is worth. We'd rather sell fewer mattresses at a fair price than play discount games.
Kira products are designed in Sri Lanka, for Sri Lankan homes. Manufacturing is handled by our specialist partner — we work to a tight specification, quality-check every piece, and deliver direct to your home. We're a small team in build-mode; as the range grows we'll be transparent about who makes what and where.
We list our full range on BuyMe.lk with island-wide delivery — that's the easiest way to order. For sizing questions, dispatch updates, or anything bespoke, send us a WhatsApp. We answer every message ourselves.
