A bed frame is a ten-year decision. A few things are worth checking before the colour swatch wins you over.
Leather or fabric: choose for how you live. Genuine calfskin wipes clean and handles our humidity well, which suits busy households and anyone who reads or sits up in bed. Fine-wale corded fabric is softer to lean against and warmer in the room. Both are real materials, not coated lookalikes.
A headboard you'll actually use. An upholstered headboard is a backrest, not just a backdrop. Look for one padded firmly enough to support you sitting up to read, at a height that suits your wall, in a tufting style you won't tire of in a year.
The right size for the room, not just the mattress. A Queen (1.5m) fits most Colombo bedrooms with space to walk around it; a King (1.8m) needs a genuinely large room. Measure the floor, not only the bed. Leather comes in Queen and King; fabric is made in Queen.
A frame built to last in our climate. Look past the surface to the weight rating, the joinery and the warranty. Every KIRA bed is rated to 300kg, slatted to take any standard mattress, and backed by a 2-year structural warranty.
Standard stock colours typically arrive within 3–5 business days in Colombo and 5–10 days elsewhere on the island. Custom colours are pre‑order with a 6–8 week lead time. Delivery is free islandwide through BuyMe.lk, and we'll message you a delivery window once your order is confirmed.
Beds arrive flat-pack with photo instructions and all hardware included. Assembly is a two-person, ~45-minute job using basic tools. If you'd rather not do it yourself, message us on WhatsApp and we can recommend a local handyman.
Calfskin: dust weekly with a soft dry cloth; wipe spills immediately with a barely damp microfibre. Condition with a quality leather cream every 6–12 months to keep the grain supple in our humidity.
Fabric: vacuum with a soft-brush attachment monthly; spot-clean spills with cool water and mild soap. Avoid placing under a direct monsoon-window draft.
All three beds are made in Queen (1.5m wide) and King (1.8m wide). Fabric upholstery is available in Queen only; leather upholstery is available in both sizes.
2-year structural warranty against frame defects and joint failures under normal use. Cosmetic wear, upholstery damage from misuse, and damage from prolonged moisture or direct sun are not covered.
The Panel and Grid beds start at Rs 215,000 and the Channel at Rs 239,000, for a Queen in calfskin leather or corded fabric. That is the everyday price, with no inflated RRP. King size in leather is a little more; message us on WhatsApp for the exact figure for your size and colour.

Yes. Each bed is a full upholstered frame with a padded headboard built in, in one of three designs: the Channel (tall vertical channels), the Panel (vertical channels with button detailing) and the Grid (square-button tufting). The headboard is part of the bed, not a separate purchase.
